What I bought and why
The Torriden Dive-In Serum has been sitting in my to-test list for eight months. The claim is five different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid — from high-molecular-weight (1500 kDa) that sits on the surface and retains moisture there, down to low-molecular-weight (500 Da) that theoretically penetrates further. That’s a real formulation story, not just “hyaluronic acid” as a single entry on the INCI list.
I bought two bottles directly from Olive Young during a 1+1 promotion, specifically to run a four-week test during monsoon season when ambient humidity is high.
Ingredient breakdown
The INCI list is clean. Water, Betaine (humectant), then the HA complex. The absence of fragrance, essential oils, and conflicting actives makes this a genuinely compatible layering product.
Four-week skin log
Applied morning and evening, second step after cleansing, before any occlusive or moisturiser.
Weeks 1–2: Immediate texture improvement within the first three days. No breakouts, no sensitivity. Slightly tacky on first application but settles within sixty seconds.
Weeks 3–4: Fine dehydration lines around the eye area visibly reduced under direct light by week four. This is consistent with the low-MW fraction doing something at a deeper level than surface humectancy.
Verdict
Does what it says, at a fair price, for most skin types. The five-molecular-weight HA story is not pure marketing — there is a real difference between this and a single-fraction HA serum, measurable over four weeks.
